Deep Roots in the Charlotte Community

For more than 85 years, Lions Services has been providing Charlotte-area adults who are blind and visually impaired with meaningful employment. From its early days of teaching the blind to cane chairs, Lions Services has evolved to a full-scale manufacturer of products for the U.S. Department of Defense. Trained right here in Charlotte, our teams of both sighted and visually impaired workers create American-made military tactical gear for those serving our country.

A Path to Self-Sufficiency

For North Carolinians who are blind or visually impaired, employment can be the key to life-long opportunity that promotes self-sufficiency, personal empowerment and financial independence. And, in case you are wondering, yes, adults who are blind can absolutely work! Helping our community forge this important path to self-sufficiency is what drives Lions Services in its mission and vision: to empower people who are blind to achieve personal and economic independence by providing them vocational rehabilitation and employment opportunities.

We’re Looking for Motivated Employees

If you or someone you know is blind or visually impaired and is interested in employment and a path to self-sufficiency, please see our Lions Services application packet. [link this to the current HR page] Lions Services is an equal opportunity employer M/F/Disability/Veteran.
